Job summary

RockForce in Detroit is seeking on-site Stagehands to support live events from build to strike. This physical labor role requires teamwork, strict safety, and the ability to manage equipment setup and teardown under event timelines.

You will assist in loading/unloading, mounting staging, lighting, audio, and video gear, and ensuring cables and power are securely installed. Prior live-event experience and OSHA awareness are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience in live event production or stagehand work preferred.
• Practical knowledge of hand tools and safety compliance for live events.
• Able to lift 50 lbs+ and work in varied conditions.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
• Assemble and disassemble staging, lighting, audio, and video equipment.
• Set up backline equipment, risers, and scenery per event specs.
• Set up and breakdown barricades; run and coil cables.
• Support on-site lighting and audio teams during performances.
• Follow safety protocols and report hazards.
