Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a seasoned store manager to oversee all store operations, including staffing, ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation and selling. You will lead performance, training, scheduling, and compliance with safety and company policies.

You will drive customer service excellence, manage inventory, control costs and ensure accurate cash handling while maintaining a clean, safe shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and company policies.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for solutions.
• Ensure the store is properly staffed and opened/closed each day.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends, expenses and risks.
• Order to meet in-stock targets and review inventory issues weekly.
• Maintain accurate inventory and ensure cash control procedures.
