Job summary

ERCOT is seeking a Supervisor, Dynamic Studies - System Planning to lead a team performing system-wide dynamic stability assessments in the transmission planning horizon, ensuring compliance with NERC Reliability Standards, ERCOT Protocols, and Planning Guides.

The supervisor coordinates with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure consistent modelling practices and effective communication of planning study results.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning or system operations; minimum 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of power system dynamics and modeling.
• Experience with PSSE, TSAT, or PSCAD dynamic simulation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, train, and manage staff.
• Supervise engineers in dynamic stability studies.
• Plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines while complying with standards.
• Serve as SME for NERC Standards and ERCOT Planning Guides.
• Coordinate with ERCOT teams to ensure consistency between planning and operations.
• Prepare technical reports for internal teams and stakeholders.
• Interface with Market Participants and Transmission Service Providers.
• Support audits and compliance evidence.
