Job summary

Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc. (ERCOT) is seeking a Supervisor, Dynamic Studies to lead a team performing system-wide dynamic stability assessments for the Texas grid and wholesale market.

The role supports annual planning studies, NERC-mandated assessments, and evaluation of transmission projects to ensure reliable planning in compliance with NERC Standards and ERCOT Protocols. Strong leadership and engineering expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in planning or system operations.
• Strong knowledge of power system dynamics and modeling.
• Experience with PSSE, TSAT, or PSCAD dynamic simulation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, train, and manage staff.
• Supervise engineers performing transient dynamic stability and EMT studies.
• Plan workload to meet study deadlines per ERCOT standards.
• Serve as SME for NERC/ERCOT standards related to dynamic stability.
• Ensure technical accuracy and quality across dynamic studies.
• Coordinate dynamic studies and assist with audits and compliance.
