Job summary

WAVERLYHILLS in Tennessee seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat patients, communicate with families and medical staff, and maintain documentation in medical records. The SLP will supervise assistants and participate in patient care conferences.

The role requires a master’s or doctoral degree in SLP, state licensure, and eligibility for the national exam, with Casamba and Point Click Care proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in SLP is required or equivalent.
• Licensed as an SLP in the state where services are provided.
• Proficiency with clinical documentation and reporting per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours of referral or 1 business day; develop treatment plans and obtain physician approval.
• Treat patients per the physician treatment plan and document progress regularly.
• Supervise SLP Assistants in direct patient care and related activities.
• Communicate with supervisor and health team about patient progress and plans.
• Instruct families and nursing staff in maintenance and discharge planning.
