Job summary

Western Buckeye Educational Service Center seeks qualified applicants for an Intervention Specialist. This role provides instructional and special education support across school districts and Western Buckeye programs in Van Wert and Paulding Counties, filling short and long term needs while supporting students with disabilities.

The Intervention Specialist develops and implements IEPs, adapts curriculum, and uses diverse instructional strategies to meet learning needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Special Education or related field.
• Valid Intervention Specialist license with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and or the ability to obtain alternative or supplemental.
• Clean BCI/FBI background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and special education support across school districts and Western Buckeye programs in Van Wert and Paulding Counties.
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Adapt curriculum and use varied instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain student progress data and document communications.
• Collaborate with teachers and families and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
• Create a positive learning environment and support student academic and behavioral growth.
