Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a Foreign Language Teacher (Spanish) for the secondary level. The teacher will implement instruction to foster student achievement and will work under the building principal with an exempt classification.

Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a related field, Texas teaching certification, and the ability to manage classroom behavior; a master's degree and IB certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Master's degree in related field preferred.
• IB certification preferred.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or out-of-state certificate appropriate for position.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to district philosophy of instruction; develop/implement lesson plans with documented prep.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for diverse learning styles.
• Assess student learning and modify curricula per IEP guidelines if needed.
• Plan and supervise assignments of aides/volunteers; use technology to enhance learning.
• Establish/maintain parent conferences and professional relationships.
