Job summary

Trailborn Hotels is seeking a part-time Server for our F&B Outlet 1 in Highlands, NC. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, handle payments, and address guest questions and concerns with a focus on hospitality and accuracy.

The role requires TIPS certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days, strong English communication, numerical aptitude for POS transactions, and a professional, calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Meets minimum legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• TIPS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to follow directions thoroughly.
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal, non-verbal, and written).
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and handle POS transactions accurately.
• Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to remain calm, prioritize tasks, and solve problems effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest and company information.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders from guests and respond to questions about menu and beverage offerings.
• Serve food and alcoholic beverages to guests while maintaining guest satisfaction.
• Process payments and present checks accurately using the POS system.
• Communicate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, restocking as needed.
• Greet guests and provide friendly, efficient service to ensure a positive experience.
• Collaborate with team members to manage service flow and support peak periods.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and service standards at all times.
