Target is seeking a Security Specialist in San Diego to protect guests, team members, and assets. The role emphasizes guest service, de-escalation, and use of video surveillance to monitor store security.

The position requires 18+ years of age, a high school diploma, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Training will cover incident response and loss prevention fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience by greeting and assisting guests.
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues to ensure a smooth experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Promote a physical security culture by maintaining safe standards storewide.
• Respond to and document security incidents in a timely manner.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support when needed.
• Submit documentation in case management for incidents following AP policy.
