Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to implement the plan of care under the supervision of a physical therapist. The role includes patient education, documentation, and adjusting treatment based on patient response, aligned with evidence-based practices.

The position includes required BLS certification, ongoing CEUs for acute stroke and joint replacement standards, and a sign-on bonus. Training in DNV Hip/Knee programs may apply.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in IL (IDFPR)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - AHA
• Complete required continuing education for acute stroke care
• Complete board exam on the next available date
• Continuing education for total joint replacement certifications per organization requirements

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other health care providers
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response with clinician communication
• Produces documentation as per CTSCP67 policy
• Complete annual education to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements
