Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington seeks a full-time Psychology Instructor to begin Spring 2027. The role emphasizes a collaborative, inclusive workplace and student-centered learning across in-person, online, and hybrid formats on the Bloomington campus.

Courses may run day, evening, and some weekends; eight-week sessions accelerate learning. Salary is $50,000 for 9 months with potential summer contracts based on enrollment. Benefits are included for full-time faculty and staff.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary psychology teaching experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Canvas LMS for instruction, assessment, and content management.
• Experience delivering instruction via in-person, online, hybrid, and synchronous virtual formats.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality psychology instruction in accordance with Ivy Tech curriculum and policies.
• Foster an inclusive and student-centered learning environment.
• Use instructional technology to support multiple learning modalities.
• Develop, adapt, and assess course materials, assignments, and exams.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress.
• Provide proactive communication, advising, mentoring, and timely feedback.
