Oklahoma District Attorneys Council (DAC) seeks a full-time Assistant District Attorney for the Pittsburg County Office in McAlester. The office handles felonies, violent and property crimes, with a docket also including misdemeanor and traffic matters.

Caseloads may shift based on needs and applicant experience. Preferred candidates hold a JD from an accredited law school and are admitted to the Oklahoma Bar.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from accredited law school.
• Admitted and in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar Association; will consider candidates licensed.

Responsibilities

• Handle felonies, violent crimes, and property crimes, as well as misdemeanors and traffic dockets.
• Caseload assignments may change based on caseload and applicant’s interest and experience.
