220 District Attorneys Council in McAlester, OK, seeks a full-time Assistant District Attorney for the Pittsburg County Office to begin immediately. Caseload includes general felonies, violent crimes, and property crimes, as well as misdemeanors and traffic.

The ideal candidate holds a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, is admitted or eligible to practice before the Oklahoma Bar, and prior prosecution experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior prosecution experience is preferred but not required.
• Juris Doctorate (JD) from accredited law school.
• Admitted and in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar Association; will consider candidates licensed.

Responsibilities

• Handle general felonies, violent crimes, and property crimes; manage related docket.
• Oversee criminal misdemeanor and traffic dockets; adjust assignments per caseload.
• Work at Pittsburg County Office in McAlester, OK with immediate start.
