Job summary

The 18th Prosecutorial District in Pittsburg County, OK is seeking a full-time Assistant District Attorney in McAlester to begin immediately. This role handles felonies, violent crimes, and property crimes, plus misdemeanors and traffic dockets as caseloads require.

Ideal candidates hold a JD from an accredited law school and are admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in good standing; prosecution experience is preferred. Compensation ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 with full state benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior prosecution experience is preferred but not required.
• Juris Doctorate (JD) from accredited law school.
• Admitted and in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar Association; will consider candidates licensed

Responsibilities

• Caseloads will include general felonies, violent crimes, and property crimes, as well as misdemeanor and traffic dockets, with assignments rotating based on caseload and applicant’s experience.
