Job summary

IDEX, ADS is seeking a Project Accounting & Finance Professional for a full-time role within the Finance organization. The analyst supports an assigned portfolio of service and equipment projects, focusing on contract-to-system reconciliation, billing readiness, forecasting and commercial support.

Under the FP&A Manager, responsibilities include project setup, revenue recognition, and month-end close while collaborating with Billing, Operations and project teams.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of accounting, reconciliations, and financial analysis demonstrated through education, internships or relevant work experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data checks and basic financial schedules.
• Attention to detail, analytical problem solving skills and the ability to organize recurring tasks and meet deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across Finance, Contracts, Billing, Operations and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Contract setup and project setup verification in ERP systems.
• Reconcile contract values, project details, funding, and modifications between CRM and ERP; resolve discrepancies.
• Review project setup against billing terms and revenue recognition policies; escalate exceptions for review.
• Validate labor, materials, subcontractor costs, and cost allocations for projects; coordinate with regional analysts.
• Confirm purchase orders, approved rates, milestones, contract terms and supporting docs for Billing and project managers.
• Review aged unbilled balances and billing discrepancies; coordinate resolution with Billing and project managers.
• Track change orders; flag work outside approved scope or funding without authorization.
• Reconcile costs, revenue, billing, and commitments during project closeout.
