Job summary

DRH Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to assist in patient care routines under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The PTA will work with the rehabilitation team to implement care plans that improve mobility and reduce pain across all ages. Graduate of an accredited PTA program with Oklahoma licensure and BLS.

One year PTA experience preferred. Must comply with DRH policies, safety standards, and infection-control protocols, including documentation and patient

Qualifications

• Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English.
• Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive/email, navigate information technology, and use Electronic Health Record tools.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care routines under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Implement prescribed therapeutic procedures and help patients perform exercises and activities.
• Educate patients and families on regimens, growth, development, and wellness.
• Observe and document patient responses and progress to the supervising therapist.
• Maintain licensure, comply with regulations, and ensure infection-control policies.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program

One year PTA experience preferred

Fluent English communication

Basic computer skills / EHR proficiency
