Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Physical Therapist at Maryview Medical Center to perform initial and ongoing assessments and provide skilled therapeutic interventions across inpatients, outpatients, pediatrics, and off-site locations.

The role requires licensure as a Physical Therapist, (BSL within the specified timeframe), and typically 2 years of experience in a similar setting. Competitive compensation, benefits, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of current practice (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients, gathering pertinent information from various sources, and develops an appropriate treatment plan with specific goals.
• Provides direct therapy to patients daily following patient’s plan of care and current standards of practice for Physical Therapy; provides instruction in therapeutic procedures to patients and family.
• Maintains accurate and concise records on treatment provided and patient’s progress in the EMR; provides timely co-signature for supervised PTAs when applicable.
• Maintains productivity without compromising quality; delivers efficient and effective care meeting department standards.
• Adheres to departmental safety, infection control, time-off requests and timecard recording; completes annual compliance requirements.
• Supervises the physical therapist assistant’s treatment interventions and professional growth.
