Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to lead rehabilitation programs, assess residents, and direct PT services to promote independence and mobility within the facility.

Responsibilities include evaluating residents, selecting modalities, training in mobility, supervising staff, and ensuring safe care. The role requires accreditation and state licensure eligibility with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop treatment goals; implement PT plans and document activities.
• Design and fit adaptive devices, and train residents in their use.
• Select physical modalities suited to the resident's needs and capabilities.
• Consult with rehab team to select appropriate therapy regimens.
• Instruct residents in mobility skills and monitor progress.
• Adapt program to individual resident needs.
• Promote safety and participate in care conferences and related meetings.
• Supervise supportive personnel per state and professional standards.
• Conduct training for staff in PT techniques and objectives.
• Order supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Maintain and report on equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure residents and families receive high-quality, compassionate care.
