Job summary

Recover-Care in Kansas seeks a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed therapists in delivering resident care under supervision. You will document progress, teach exercises to residents and families, and assist with orthotic device instructions as needed.

The role requires an associate degree from an APTA-accredited program and licensure as a PTA, with compliance to state and federal regulations. Shift work and accommodations may be required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an APTA accredited program is required.
• License as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct treatment to residents as directed by and according to the plan of care outlined by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Documents resident progress towards meeting established goals.
• Teaches exercises to residents, family members, and caregivers and may provide instruction in the use and care for orthotic, prosthetic devices, and other assisting apparatus.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
