Job summary

Recover-Care is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering PT care in a skilled nursing facility setting. You will assist with developing treatment plans, carry out routine functions, document progress, and adjust treatments under supervision.

The role requires an Associates degree and a current state PT license, with strong communication and organizational skills, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Instructs, motivates, safeguards, and assists patients as they practice exercises or functional activities.
• Observes patients during treatments and reports progress to the physical therapist.
• Discusses and coordinates treatment with therapists and informs caregivers and family.
• Transports patients to/from treatment and secures them for therapy sessions.
• Administers manual therapies, aquatic therapy, and modalities like ultrasound.
• Measures joint motion, vital signs, and treatment effects for evaluation.
• Monitors equipment use and records treatment administration.
• Fits patients for orthotics and assistive devices.
