Job summary

Recover-Care in Topeka, KS seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed physical therapists in delivering patient-focused care within state and federal guidelines. The PTA will provide direct treatment, document progress, and help residents perform prescribed exercises and use assistive devices.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an APTA-accredited program.
• Licensed as Physical Therapist Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct treatment to residents under the supervision of the licensed PT and according to the plan of care.
• Documents resident progress toward meeting established goals.
• Teaches exercises to residents, family members, and caregivers and may provide instruction in the use and care of orthotic, prosthetic devices, and other assisting apparatus.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Education
