Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Flint, MI is seeking a Part Time Party & Event Host to plan and coordinate in-store events, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes, delivering a fun, creative, and engaging experience for guests.

You will interact with customers of all ages, assist them in finding products, lead activities and demonstrations, handle event add-ons, and ensure setup, safety, and store cleanliness before, during, and after events.

Qualifications

• Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential.
• Experience working with children and children's events required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events at the Michaels store, including kids' birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages and demonstrate craft activities.
• Lead activities such as face painting and other party activities per standards.
• Assist with event add-ons and client communications, including emails and calls.
• Set up and break down events; ensure store cleanliness and safety during events.
• Provide fast, friendly service at checkout and help customers shop for supplies.
