Sinclair Community College seeks part-time (adjunct) Mechanical Engineering Technology faculty to teach face-to-face courses at the downtown Dayton campus or area High School Partners. Starting pay is $1,046 per credit hour assigned to teach, with courses available across day, evening, and weekend slots.

Applicants must reside in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky or be able to work within these states. Qualified candidates hold a bachelor’s in MET or related field; master’s preferred; teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology, or related field required
• Master's degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology, or related field preferred
• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience required
• Experience with CAD design, Additive Manufacturing, or product development preferred
• Experience teaching in a community college environment preferred
• Minimum of three years recent & relevant industrial/professional experience preferred
• Ability to present MET-related topics during interview
• Commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies

Responsabilités

• Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning
• Prepare syllabi for all assigned sections per policies
• Use appropriate teaching methods and instructional technology
• Adapt instructional methods to meet diverse student needs
• Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success
• Evaluate and return student work promptly
• Maintain accurate records of student progress
• Submit final grade rosters by deadlines
• Maintain confidentiality of student information
• Cannot teach more than 12 credit hours per semester
• Be flexible to teach day, evening, or weekend classes at various campuses and CCP sites
