Job summary

Echo Electric seeks an experienced Outside Sales Representative to cover the commercial and some industrial market in the St. Louis, MO region.

The role emphasizes end-to-end selling of electrical switch gear and lighting products, targeting growth among existing accounts and new prospects. The ideal candidate will own the sales cycle, build strong customer relationships, and collaborate with Inside Sales and branch staff to deliver solutions and drive profits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sales or closely related field; 3 years of relevant sales/industry experience.
• At least 2 years of electrical or distribution experience and/or product knowledge.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of the industrial/commercial/contractor market.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Makes regular personal sales calls at customer establishments to seek new opportunities and leads, coordinating with Echo Electric team as needed.
• Promotes and demonstrates new products and customer resources and programs to customers.
• Coordinates orders with Inside Sales for entry, tracking and fulfillment, and helps troubleshoot backorders.
• Manages account base and new opportunities to maximize sales volume and gross profit margins.
• Maintains ethical, professional conduct and keeps a clean, organized vehicle; submits monthly expense reports.
