Job summary

Lord Gurman & Lewis LLC. in New York City is seeking an experienced Associate to handle commercial and residential landlord-tenant litigation. The role focuses on representing landlords in disputes, drafting pleadings, and participating in settlement and trial proceedings.

Qualifications

• 6 or more years of commercial landlord-tenant experience.
• New York practice experience and New York bar admission (required).
• Solid on-your-feet experience.
• Strong legal writing ability.

Responsibilities

• Represent landlords in commercial and residential landlord-tenant disputes
• Draft pleadings and substantive motions
• Conduct settlement conferences and pre-trial conferences
• Argue motions and conduct depositions
• Try cases and make frequent court appearances
• Manage approximately 10 challenging cases at a time with active caseload of 50 – 70 matters
