Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College–Anderson seeks non-credit course instructors to develop and deliver engaging, skills-based trainings at Amplify in Hancock County. Courses may be offered in-person, live online, or at client sites with sessions mornings, afternoons, or evenings.

Instructors prepare high-quality materials and evidence of expertise, supporting workforce and community education initiatives in the region. Teaching load varies by project.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching non-credit courses preferred but not required.
• Subject matter expertise demonstrated through education and/or professional experience.
• Ability to teach assigned non-credit course effectively.
• Knowledge demonstrated through education and/or professional experience.
• Ability to promote Ivy Tech mission and values.
• Ability to work in a diverse, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to develop engaging course curricula for full class duration.
• Willingness to travel to Hancock County.

Responsibilities

• Deliver non-credit, skills-based classes as assigned.
• Provide a learning environment that supports student success.
• Collaborate with Ivy+ Career Link Employer Consultant to plan courses (dates, content, pricing).
• Teach classes at workplace and campus locations as needed.
• Maintain records on attendance and grades.
• Develop teaching materials for curriculum delivery.
• Initiate evaluation processes for training programs.
• Identify facility and equipment needs for classrooms.
• Engage in training and professional development.
• Notify Executive Director in case of absence and arrange substitutes.
