Job summary

Concentra, Inc. is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant in Lake Oswego, OR to join the patient care team. This role involves preparing patients, performing testing, assisting providers, and handling front-office tasks with a focus on safety and patient experience.

Ideal candidates have MA training or relevant experience, ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and a commitment to HIPAA and high-quality care. Per diem schedule supports coverage across shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship highly preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant, OR military medical specialist experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Responsible for routine medical procedures as ordered and triaging emergent patients as needed.
• Prepare and assist clinician with procedure setup and injury care.
• Apply bandages, dressings and splints as ordered by the clinician.
• Dispense medications and DME as ordered in accordance with state regulations.
• Complete QA activities on equipment and testing processes.
• Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms.
• Maintain and operate medical devices and calibration records.
• Notify supervisor if equipment is not functioning properly or supplies are needed.
• Assist with patient flow and keep patients informed of wait times.
• Perform front office duties: greet, check in/out, authorize, answer phones, distribute results.
