Oakwest Clinic seeks a Medical Assistant to join the patient care team. You will perform administrative and clinical duties under physician supervision, handle vital signs, immunization records, referrals, and lab coordination, and support safe, quality care.

The role requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and current BLS certification within 90 days of hire; no prior experience is required, and travel to other locations may be needed.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• Current healthcare provider BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 90 days of hire.
• No prior experience required.

Aufgaben

• Review daily appointment schedule and plan patient care activities.
• Process lab letters, refills, referrals, prior authorizations per insurance.
• Track labs and referrals and maintain documentation in EHR.
• Prepare and assess patients; ensure exam rooms are neat, clean, and stocked.
• Assist with office procedures and specimen collection.
• Follow infection control and Joint Commission safety policies.
• Travel to other locations as assigned to support team.
• Participate in employee engagement and performance improvement activities.
• Complete required training before due date.
• May administer unit-dose medications after competency and delegation form.
• Identify ways to improve work processes and customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated with developments through seminars and journals.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable rules and policies.
