Qualifications

• Experience estimating commercial mechanical piping systems.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs using Revit, BIM models, or drawings.
• Proficiency with estimating software.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC and mechanical piping systems, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracts.
• Analyze blueprints and construction drawings to estimate time, cost, materials, and labor.
• Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers on project plans.
• Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable prices.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies to keep estimates competitive.
• Prepare and present reports and proposals to clients and management.
