Job summary

Denver Public Schools seeks a Long-Term Substitute teacher to cover classes when the assigned teacher is absent, following district-approved curriculum. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field and a valid Colorado teaching license (DPS may accept a CDE Application Receipt for 90 days).

Temporary assignment from August 24, 2026, to October 31, 2026, with a salary of $31.503 per hour, plus total reward offerings such as time off, health benefits, and PERA Retirement.

Qualifications

• Experience in creating and implementing lesson plans aligned to district standards.
• Ability to monitor and support student behavior and engagement.
