Traffic Tech in Chicago is seeking an Operations Representative to support day-to-day transportation operations by managing shipments, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and customers. You will collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure smooth execution and exceptional service.

This role requires a high school diploma and 2+ years in customer operations within logistics; Food & Beverage experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customer operations within logistics or supply chain.
• Food & Beverage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily transportation operations including load building, dispatching, tracking, and scheduling shipments.
• Coordinate and track shipments from pickup to delivery.
• Communicate with carriers, shippers, and consignees to ensure smooth operations.
• Negotiate rates and book freight with carriers.
• Maintain a basic understanding of TL freight.
• Create and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.
• Ensure all required shipping documentation is accurately prepared.
• Maintain effective and professional communication both internally and externally in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to support customer needs.
• Adhere to and follow all standard operating procedures.
