Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP, a national law firm with offices across California, seeks a Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys through all phases of case management. The role emphasizes strong attention to detail, organized multitasking, and effective communication with clients and courts.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of litigation support experience, paralegal credentials as required by California, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Paralegal program certificate or BA with ABA‑approved paralegal credential required, or
• Bachelor’s degree plus a qualifying ABA‑approved program and legal experience.
• Continuing legal education requirements every two years must be met.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, and codes.
• Prepare briefs, pleadings, and other documents for attorney review and filing.
• Investigate facts and law to determine causes of action and case strategy.
• Assist with collection, review, and organization of discovery materials.
• Prepare trial binders and materials for trial preparation.
• File pleadings with court clerk in person and electronically.
• Prepare affidavits and maintain document files.
• Deliver subpoenas to witnesses and parties.
