Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing Northeast in North Kingstown, RI is seeking a Sample Receiving Technician on a full-time basis with a 2nd shift (1:30 pm - 10:00 pm). Training on 1st shift provided. You will handle samples per SOPs, store and dispose, and ship samples using a laboratory information system.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, with strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and comfort in a fast-paced lab are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• LIMS experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs in handling and disposal of samples.
• Light laboratory duties.
• Perform sample receiving duties including documentation, storage and disposal.
• Communicate discrepancies to Sample Receiving Manager regarding container types, preservation, and chain of custody.
• Packing and shipping samples.
• Preparing client bottle orders.
• Assist with glassware cleaning and support chemists and other technicians.
