Job summary

Eurofins USA Environment Testing is seeking a Laboratory Technician I in North Kingstown, RI. You will perform general lab tasks, prepare samples, and operate the LIMS while maintaining safety and accuracy in a production setting.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic lab experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Work hours are 1:30 pm–10:00 pm, with a 5% shift differential on second shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• High school Chemistry coursework preferred.
• Basic laboratory experience preferred.
• Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Samples will be in coolers packed in ice.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving samples from Sample Control for analysis.
• Performing sample preparation including aliquoting, spiking, preparing reagents, bottling samples, preparing concentrations, separation, sonication, liquid rack setup.
• Learning and using the LIMS.
• Resolving discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled.
• Preparing general laboratory paperwork: recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and laboratory logbooks.
• Washing laboratory glassware to prepare for next day’s samples.
• Stocking laboratory supplies.
• Cleaning work areas to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assisting other laboratory areas as needed.
