Job summary

Code Ninjas of Queen Anne Seattle is seeking a passionate Sensei to guide and inspire young coders aged 5–14. You will lead hands-on lessons, adapt activities to varied skill levels, and maintain a positive, safe learning space where kids can explore, build games, and gain confidence in problem-solving.

Working with families, you’ll provide feedback after tours and progress updates, follow opening and closing routines, and help keep the dojo clean and welcoming.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 5 and up in mentoring, coaching, or tutoring roles.
• Experience working with the general public.
• Experience in teaching, mentoring or child care.
• Works well with others and collaborates.
• Knowledgeable about coding and technology, or quick to learn basic concepts.
• Fun to work with in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Training – go through the curriculum and learn it.
• Create a positive and safe environment in which students can grow.
• Work with children to determine skill sets.
• Provide feedback to parents after working with a student who is on a tour.
• Follow opening/closing duties daily.
• Clean dojo throughout the day to ensure cleanliness is kept up to corporate standards.
• Report weekly to Center Assistant Manager on progress.
• Report daily to Center Manager with respect to day’s activities and productivity in dojo.
