Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a Kids Instructor to deliver educational and fitness-minded programming for children aged 3 months to 11 years in the Kids Academy. You will organize, instruct, and supervise activities, ensuring safety and fun.

The role requires first aid/CPR within 60 days, completion of required learnings before start, and strong communication with parents. Part-time hourly position with wages starting at 13.25 up to 15.75 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• First Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire
• Completion of all Kids On-Demand Required Learnings prior to first day of work
• 6+ months of teaching children ages 3 – 11 in similar programs or activities

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Foster children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development by instructing organized activities per the Kids Academy Schedule
• Prepare and set up for class and transfer kids to and from programming
• Maintain records of children’s attendance, development, and incidents
• Monitor and interact with children to maintain a safe and healthy environment
• Utilize positive behavior management techniques and communicate clearly with parents and team members
• Promote all Junior programming to increase participation in all Kids & Aquatics programming
• Maintain the Kids Academy and other program areas by following cleaning checklist and restocking supplies
• Handle incidents and emergencies in a calm and professional manner
