Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Ohio teaching certificate or license for the appropriate subject area or grade level.
• Substitute certification not accepted.
• Demonstrates flexibility and reliability.
• Evidence of strong attendance and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Implement IEP objectives through classroom activities including small group, individual and large group lessons.
• Develop and implement behavior management plans for students as needed.
• Develop schedules and lesson plans for classroom day allowing for a variety of activities and special events aligned to IEP goals.
• Communicate progress to parents and other school personnel in compliance with state and program policies.
• Conduct preliminary and ongoing evaluations of student levels and needs through formal and informal means.
• Plan and supervise for teacher aides and volunteers assigned to the classroom.
• Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law and district policy.
• Collaborate with administration and staff to develop programming and evaluation through a disciplinary teaming approach.
