Job summary

The Young Mens Christian Association of Northwest Nort is seeking a high-energy group exercise instructor to lead energizing, safe, and educational group classes. You will help members reach their fitness goals while having fun, build a welcoming class atmosphere for all levels, and represent the YMCA's mission in every session.

Responsibilities include answering member questions, maintaining class attendance records, participating in trainings and events, and aligning with YMCA policies.

Qualifications

• Certifications for classes taught are required.
• CPR/FA/AED/02 (ASHI) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Instructor experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and social media skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads energizing, safe, and educational group classes as directed.
• Creates a welcoming class environment for all fitness levels.
• Answers member questions to support goals related to healthy living.
• Builds authentic relationships with members and YMCA.
• Keeps accurate class attendance records.
• Attends required trainings, workshops, and staff meetings.
• Participates in master classes, fundraising and events.
