Job summary

The YMCA of Northwest North is seeking a high-energy group exercise instructor to lead engaging classes and help members reach their fitness goals while keeping sessions fun. You will foster a welcoming environment for all fitness levels and build strong relationships with members.

Strong communication skills and a commitment to YMCA values are essential. CPR/FA/AED certification is required within 30 days of hire, and related instructor experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification for classes taught as required by the YMCA.
• CPR/FA/AED certification within 30 days of hire.
• Instructor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead energizing, safe, and educational group classes to advance the YMCA mission.
• Create a welcoming class environment for all fitness levels and motivate members.
• Answer questions to support members' wellness goals and share wellness trends.
• Build authentic relationships with members and connect them with the YMCA.
• Keep accurate class attendance records.
• Attend required trainings, workshops and staff meetings.
• Participate in master classes, fundraising and other events.
• Follow YMCA policies and respond to emergencies as needed.
