Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Food Runner to support our dining room by preparing tables, serving orders, explaining meals and coordinating between kitchen and servers. You will help deliver high-quality hand-plated service to members and guests, aiming to elevate their dining experience.

In a fast-paced club setting, you’ll stay calm under pressure, problem-solve on the fly, and work as a unified team to ensure timely, accurate service while adhering to health and safety policies and venue standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and problem solve under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful toward colleagues and guests.
• Must demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School.
• Must work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously.
• OLCC-certified and POS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Refill water glasses and coffee cups, clear finished dishes, crumb the table, replenish all table supplies, expedite food orders.
• Accommodate special requests from guests or offer alternatives for business needs.
• Thrive in high-volume, elevated service; support servers, Executive Chef and General Manager to ensure seamless service.
• Ensure food orders are plated and coursed correctly before serving to members/guests.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and company standards and local laws.
• Work as one team to serve members and guests promptly and assist with items from expo and service bar.
• Clean and stock server alley and expo area.
• Knowledge of the menu to make suggestions when asked by members/guests.
