Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Excellent knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safe food handling.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with team members and expeditors regarding item availability and readiness.
• Performs fast, sanitary preparation of all menu items following recipes and standards.
• Ensures cleanliness of work areas and assists with team cleaning as needed.
• Cross-trains department staff and supports team members.
• Controls food production with proper cooking methods, times, and temperatures.
• Maintains product knowledge and proper handling of perishables to ensure quality.
• Oversees care, storage, and cleaning of equipment and tools.
• Provides relief support to Sous Chefs and other kitchen areas as needed.
• Identifies and corrects product discrepancies and quality variations.
• Completes station checklists and par sheets prior to shift end.
• Prepares for rush periods and manages waste at end of service.
• Assists Cook III and Sous Chef in kitchen operations.
