Job summary

JACK Entertainment LLC is seeking a part-time Food Court Cook in North Randall, OH to prepare menu items quickly and safely according to established recipes and standards. You will work with fellow cooks, expeditors, and team members to ensure quality, sanitation, and timely service.

This role requires strong leadership and reliable teamwork. The position offers a $1,000 hiring incentive and benefits through JACK, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years previous experience in culinary cooking/preparation.
• Must have excellent leadership and customer service/communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain, and maintain a Non-Gaming License with the Ohio Lottery Commission.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with team members, line cooks and expeditors regarding menu item availability and prep.
• Responsible for fast and sanitary preparation of all menu items following recipes and standards.
• Ensure team members clean their areas and assist with cleaning in other areas.
• Cross-train team within the department and support teammates.
• Control food production including cooking methods, time and temperature, ensuring sanitation and proper handling of leftovers.
• Demonstrate proper storage and handling of perishables to maintain quality and safety.
• Oversee care, storage, use and cleaning of tools and equipment.
• Provide relief to Sous Chefs and assist in all kitchen areas as needed.
• Complete station checklists and par sheets one hour before shift end.
• Prepare for rush periods without falling behind and manage waste at end of service.
• Assist Cook III and Sous Chef in kitchen operations and duties.
