Salem Public Schools in Salem, MA is seeking a School Nurse (Float) to support health offices across the district during the 2026-27 school year. The nurse will cover for absences, accompany field trips, and participate in nursing projects.

Candidates must be a RN with MA license, DESE school nurse certification or eligible, CPR/First Aid, and at least 2 years in pediatrics or public health. Bilingual Spanish a plus; 182-day year salary and a $3,500 stipend for the extra days.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree (Required); Master’s Degree (Preferred)
• Current license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• DESE Certification or DESE-Eligible as a School Nurse in Massachusetts
• Current Certification in CPR/AED and First Aid
• Minimum 2 Years of Experience in Pediatrics, Community or Public Health, or other relevant setting
• Prior experience in school nursing a plus
• Embrace team nursing
• Flexibility
• Second language (Spanish) proficiency a plus
• Current authorization to work in the United States

Mansioni

• General School Nurse duties: administering medications according to policy and in compliance with 105 CMR 210, providing first aid, maintaining electronic health records, and documenting the health office activities.
• Care for acutely or chronically ill students and perform related nursing duties as needed in the school setting or as determined by the Director of Nursing.
• Cover health offices when building-based nurses are absent and assist with field trips requiring a nurse
