Salem Public Schools is seeking a Float School Nurse for the 2026-2027 school year in Salem, MA. The nurse will cover health offices, assist on field trips, and support nursing initiatives across buildings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Current license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• DESE Certification or DESE-Eligible as a School Nurse in Massachusetts.
• Current Certification in CPR/AED and First Aid.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatrics, community or public health, or related setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day operation of a school health office; cover health offices when nurses are absent.
• Care for acutely or chronically ill students and perform related nursing duties as needed.
• Administer medications according to school policy and 105 CMR 210, maintain electronic health records.
