Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of related experience in event setup preferred.
• Valid Florida driver's license.
• Knowledge of safe handling of event equipment.
• Ability to operate equipment safely (carts, lifts, ladders).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and clients.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, standing, moving equipment).

Responsibilities

• Transport, set up, reconfigure, and break down event equipment.
• Read work orders, diagrams, and setup instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of event spaces.
• Follow safety protocols during load-in/load-out.
• Assist with basic AV troubleshooting.
• Greet clients, guests, and vendors professionally.
• Support event registration activities.
• Escalate complex issues to supervisors.
• Collect, enter, and maintain event setup data.
• Track work orders and update status.
• Inspect rooms for arrangement and readiness.
• Adjust layouts and correct deficiencies before events.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
