Job summary

KDM Engineering seeks a Distribution Engineer II – Electric Utilities in the Lansdale area to help expand our Philadelphia presence. You will design development activities, equipment layouts, construction drawings and BOMs for utility projects, collaborating with field teams and clients to meet schedules and quality standards.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD, TED and Microsoft Office, plus familiarity with utility

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering degree.
• 4+ years of prior industry experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, TED, and Microsoft Office to produce quality electrical design drawings.
• Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards and distribution design practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design development, equipment layouts, construction drawings and bill of materials.
• Proficiency of power engineering theories and principles.
• Proficiency of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making recommendations.
• Understanding of power distribution systems.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple teams/platforms on complex initiatives.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Quantitative and analytical skill set.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing demands.
