Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks an Assistant General Counsel to provide commercial legal support, reporting to a senior member of the legal department. You will advise on key contractual and risk-related issues in a fast-paced environment and work closely with business leaders and corporate teams.

The role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating client engagements and vendor agreements, identifying risk, and driving the contracting process to enable business objectives while ensuring policy

Qualifications

• JD required from an accredited law school.
• Active State Bar membership; NY bar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate client engagements, confidentiality, vendor, and related agreements.
• Identify and analyze legal and risk issues in contracts with actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with legal and corporate teams to accelerate contracting while mitigating risk.
• Provide strategic legal guidance to support business objectives and policy compliance.
