Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks an accomplished Associate General Counsel to lead legal coverage for A&M Energy and INFRA in North America. The role requires strategic, business‑savvy judgment and significant in‑house experience.

You will draft and negotiate complex contracts, advise on risk and compliance, and collaborate with leaders across the organization to manage multi‑party agreements and regulatory matters. A JD and active bar membership (NY/FL) are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–15 years of progressively senior legal experience, including significant in-house counsel work.
• Extensive experience with large infrastructure or capital projects in energy, transportation, mining or metals.
• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership (NY or FL).

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive legal coverage for A&M Energy and INFRA in North America, advising on complex legal and risk issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate client engagement letters, MSAs, NDAs, vendor agreements and other contracts.
• Provide legal counsel on risk management, compliance, and business operations.
• Advise on IP, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, technology, and new service offerings.
• Serve as trusted advisor to executives and leaders, offering practical legal guidance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
