Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking an accomplished Associate General Counsel to serve as lead legal counsel for A&M Energy and INFRA in North America. The role involves guiding contracting, compliance, and risk management for senior leadership, with a focus on large infrastructure projects and strategic advisory.

The ideal candidate has 7–15 years of senior legal experience, a JD, active bar membership (NY or FL preferred), and proven negotiation and drafting skills to operate across geographies.

Qualifications

• 7–15 years of progressively senior legal experience
• In-house counsel experience preferred
• Experience with large infrastructure or capital projects
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills
• Bar membership in NY or FL preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead legal coverage for A&M Energy and INFRA in North America
• Draft, review, and negotiate client engagement letters, MSAs, RFP responses, NDAs, and vendor agreements
• Provide legal counsel on risk management, compliance, and business operations
• Advise on IP, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, and technology matters
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement legal risk mitigation strategies
