Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks an accomplished Associate General Counsel to lead legal coverage for A&M Energy and INFRA in North America, guiding complex contracts and risk across a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.

This senior role requires 7–15 years in‑house experience, a JD, and bar membership, with proven ability to collaborate with executives while negotiating large commercial deals. You will enable strategic governance and cross‑functional risk management.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• 7–15 years of progressively senior legal experience with significant in‑house counsel background.
• Experience in large infrastructure or capital projects in energy/infra.
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills with ability to collaborate across geographies.
• Active bar membership (NY or FL preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive legal coverage for A&M Energy and A&M INFRA in North America.
• Draft, review, and negotiate client engagement letters, master service agreements, RFPs, NDAs, vendor agreements and other contracts.
• Provide legal counsel on risk management, compliance, and business operations.
• Advise on intellectual property, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, technology and new service offerings.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop legal risk mitigation strategies.
